Election on Facebook
During the 2004 election Facebook was barely a few months old so this was the first major presidential election were we've had an impact. We created a system of design materials for people to interact with leading up to and on election day to remind them to vote, find their polling place, and share that they had voted with their friends.

By the end of the day our counter of users who had chosen to share their voting experience with their friends was over 5 million. Hopefully we encouraged some people who were on the fence to actually go out and vote.
