When I show my code to programmers they tend to wonder how the heck it actually works. I'll be the first to tell you that I am a graphic designer and not a web programmer but I do try. I know enough about what is possible on the web to figure out a way to do it, even if it's not the most technically sound way. I think it's important for designers to be aware of the capabilities of the internet to be able to design for it.
This site was coded in PHP and MySQL. The backend lets me manage the sites content on the fly. Building it was pretty challenging but it makes my life a lot easier.
